RB7 shot blaster is a device that automates - and thus greatly facilitates the process of abrasive blasting. Contrary to stereotypes, by shot-blasting we do not get a much rougher surface than during the sandblasting process.
Shot blasting with the S110 shot corresponds to sandblasting using polygrit with a gradation of 0,2-1,2 at a pressure of 7 bar, which allows the aluminum rim to obtain a surface with a roughness of 28um-35um, which ensures very good adhesion, for example for powder paints, with so there is no problem with leveling the rim with a primer layer.
The shot blasting cycle depends on the cleaning element and the abrasive used. Example cycle times of the shot blasting machine using the S110 abrasive:
- Steel rim: 4-6 min
- Alloy wheel : 8-12min
- Car turbine manifolds: 8-12min
- Car clamps: 8-12min
Application:
The RB 7 blasting machine is widely used in companies dealing with, among others:
- restoration of car rims
- regeneration of car turbines
- refinishing brake calipers
- powder painting (adjustment of elements for painting)
The devices are solid and reliable - which makes them the driving force of many remanufacturing companies!
Car rims require the removal of the old paint coating, they are mounted on a special hanger, which, while circulating in orbit, rotates around its own axis, which allows you to remove paint from the hardest to reach places.
Other elements that require abrasive blasting are placed in a solid basket, which is rotated, which allows for thorough cleaning of all elements in it.
